Kis Dks 1550 Or Kodak System 89 Use Excessive Developer

Hi Everyone,

I have KIS 1550 (or Kodak System89).

It pulls too much of developer and when I try to calibrate in SU (super user) Password. (TEC). When I click on make 20 turns. It does not do 20 turns it makes one turn and goes off.

In normal operation, no matter there are photos in machine or not, it keep turning every 3 minutes.

Any one have any idea?

Check microswitch and its connectors, replace microswitch if necessary, but usually problem is in corroded connestors on microswitch

Or even tank board .

I checked micro switch with multimeter continuity. it works fine and checked on tank board LED comes on when pump moving.

Of course it lights on , pump aint moving by itself .

What you need to find out , is where comes from the bad running sequence , from tank board or much further .

i think tank board is faulty. as it does not read setup also. and setup is onsame board. I will replace board tomorrow

You should replace first the power supply i mentioned on topic about densitometer .

 

If you can find a tank board just to test with , its ok as well.

 

In case your conclusion is a defective tank board , i can deliver a fully functional one .

guys ... sometimes I think it's good you are not playng with military toys. You would blow out yor house... 

Tank board is powered from the PC power supply mounted inside PS module. i doubt it is a PS problem. 

Pumps are powered from 230V. if  pump is not turning - relay on relay card is faulty - but it's not the case.

Pskaro gave you good advice. 

There is no sequence driven from tank board. Board orders pumps to run and counts turns from the microswitch.

if there is no clicks - pump stops.it could be connector it could be microswitch itself - or deplaced microswitch du to some forces.it's working but not switching.

Thanks guys. pskaro is right. at microswitch contacts was rusty. cleaned them and its fine now. Thanks again.
