Hi All,

Got a problem with my DKS1550, I think I have worked out the problem but your thoughts are appreciated.

I had the dreaded pressure valve go on the BLEACH FIX which mean't some got down into the machine, I think I have been lucky in that it's only affected the DEV replenisher pump (IWAKI). It was clicking, vibrating but not turning, have taken the motor right off the pump housing and tried it on the stab connection and got it to try 20 test turns again but it still clicked, vibrated but no turning - am I right in saying it's toast or have I missed something (happens at this time of night)?

Any thoughts how I can get round it?

My machine only uses bleach fix A (don't have it set up for bleach fix B), does that mean that pump 5 is a spare as I can't get it to turn on using SU mode?

or I do have a gri bellows pump from an older (dks750) machine, could it be adapted to use or is it likely to be more of a headache because of replenishment rates etc?

many thanks in advance.

Use Chimie.exe to disabled that pump, and enable the other Bleach Fix pump which is working ;)

You can also use the pumps from DKS 750, but you have to change the bellows and off course calibrate it before suing it in S.U. ;)

Hi pskaro,

It's actually the dev pump that has gone but was looking at swapping over mechanically the electric motor from the "pump 5" which seems as though it's not being used (doesn't turn when requesting the 20 turns from su and indeed have just checked chemie and pump 5 isn't checked on), if I was to do it that way would I be able to get away without calibrating it - as I am not too sure of the process to calibrate it but cold probably work it out from the su instructions/information??

thanks

Many thanks to all including Pskaro for help on this with Pskaro and other posts on similiar subjects have managed to resolve the issue.

Swapped the redundant pump in to the dev part, used the bellow from the old pump, and calibrated it.

As a suggestion to anyone else changing the pumps would recommend to the 20 turn cycle on all the pumps afterwards as it is very easy to break any corroding wires from the other pump microswitches.

thanks again all.

Not sure if I should post on a new thread or on this existing one, thought I had the problem fixed but am not sure if I am looking too deep into it but all seems to be well except have noticed that the two little pipes below the water tank on the chemical synoptic are showing as red - think these should be green?
