Lp2000 (370) Firewire Ip Setting

Hello,

 

I have been wanting to install MS01 4.2 for my Fuji 370 printer. I am not using the scanner.

 

I ordered a new EPROM and it shows Version 2.0 in the 370 LCD screen when I turn it on. It still shows the old V7.0.0.0-X version.

 

I have MS01 4.2 installed on Windows 7, and I have been trying to get the FMPC to communicate with the printer but not working. Please note I have succesfully gone through and setup a Fuji 570 printer using FMPC + Server and I was able to make the 570 FMPC ping the printer ip before succeding in the MS01 installation.

 

On the 570 I could set an IP in the LCD screen menus, but on the 370 I cannot find any such setting. After installing MS01 on a brand new FMPC with a ratoc card, and doing the same Firewire and Vdentry tasks, I am struggling to make the Firewire card see the 370, although it did seem to succeed in installing the VirtualPrinterDevice after reboot and switching on the 370. MS01 install fails at this point halfway saying unable to communicate with printer whether I set a static IP on the Firewire card or I left blank it as obtain automatically.

 

I have tried using MS 3.0 and Windows XP as well, same problem, cannot ping FMPC to printer at all and MS01 install fails after.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!.

To answer my own question for others,

 

I just updated printer using A1 with my old scanner unit.

Updated it from V7.0.0-X to V7.7

Then MS01 install worked without setting any IP parameters
