Continuous Lines (Bands) In Prints

Hi,

 

In my QSS 3701, I am having few problems in prints. I am not sure whether it is banding or some other problem.

I am getting uniform white lines or what to say uneven densities throughout the prints.

 

The problem remains in all the magazines (6" , 10", 12 ")

 

Probelm first started as in attachment 001 and now it has became as in attachement 002.

 

Looking for experts advice and thanks in advance.

Usually faulty exposure advance motor creates such effect.

Thanks for your reply. While inspecting the advance exposure unit, I found there was a belt which is cut (refer attachment). Will this be the reason for the problem I mentioned.

 

If so, what is the name of that rubber belt which I have to replace.

Any belt can't be the cause of such bands.

Unfortunately, I can't understand anything in your photo.

Hi  Kodak-service,

 

The photo I posted in my previous reply is the part of pressure guide which is removable in case of any paper jam in exposure advance unit. Actually there was a thick ruber belt connecting that two small rollers (One in white and other in black). The location of that rubber part is marked by red arrow by me.  

 

Time being I am using simple rubber band used for stationary purposes at that place. Kindly let me know that part name so I can purchase it.

 

As I am a beginner, I am not well versed with the parts name. Also I want to know whether the problem I am facing is typical banding which can be corrected by adjusting paper pressure correction or mine is something different.

Hi Srisin02,

 

Part number of rubber belt is H016866-00.

The price of motor W409635-01 is 100$ approx (exw Japan).

Replacing of this motor is difficult operation.

measure the banding position from the edge of paper, check it with service manual, from there you'll find any posibilties
