Hello!

 

We´ve bought a second SP3000 for our scanning Business. After we received the Maschine we turn it on and the power supply in the toshiba pc went away with a bang.

 

So i replaced the power supply with a new one and the Maschine starts. But then we get a GPA23 failure (see pictures below). The Software will work after this failure message. 

 

After that, I started to registered a NC carrier. The software tell me to do a focus calibration. If i start this in the service menu, the software call me again to do a optical magnification calibration. This endet up with failure W-4845 and that was it.

 

So, what kind of hardware is broken and what can I do to get the maschine to work?

I think you have BIG problem...
First:
it is impossible to adjust the scanner without a focusing jig. And it costs much...
Second:
your PCB is dead.

It is not that bad.

First for the gpa23 change the ram memory inside the image controller box. There are two if you can not test change them all.

Secondly for the carrier you have lost backup data

Do system program reinstallation using the scanner backup diskette.

it seems you read him not attentievly.
He cannot adjust focus.

it is impossible to adjust the focus without the jig.

Yes but the solution is to restore the backup data

You have right... It´s the GPA23 Board. This is broken. So I get a new one. And I have to reinstall the software. At the moment I work with A1 C4/C5. Is is possible to install the new MS software? What advantages have this modern version?

Stand alone scanner can be installed on A1 + C4/C5, S1 + S2 or MS11 for SP3000 + MS01. No big difference on stand alone scanner. The most difference on printer option.

Thank you. After I removed the broken GPA23 Board the systems start to work. On the scanner is MS11 installed. 

 

Our first Scanner works with A1 + C4/C5 on a virtual PC without any problems. For the second one I have only the MS01 Software on CD. So now I installed MS01 Server onto another virtual XP SP2 System in tethered mode. During the install-process the software ask for the name of the scanner pc. I write it into the requester (EZPC01). The name of the MS01 Server is FEII-FRONTEND, user FRONTIER with pw FRONTIER. The virtual machine and the scanner can see each other in the network (all in the same network group). But the scanner cannot connect the image control server if i select "print"...

 

From the scanner PC I can open the maintenance modus, that connect to the MS01 Server.

 

I installed, before the MS01 installation, an image from our first scanner on the second one. Win 2000 boot, but the Fuji A1 Software quitt with an error message (software failure).

 

So, do you have any hint or a configuration manual, that I can setup my second scanner with MS01? What do the Scanner and the MS01 Server need to connect each other?
