Noritsu D703 - 07162-00001 Printing Control Error

Hi All,

 

New to the forum, but it seems like a great, knowledgeable community.

 

Our trusty Noritsu is now giving us a "07162-00001 Printing Control Error" after around every 5 prints.

 

I pulled the cutter and cleaned it and the cutter sensors and it's better but it keeps getting a 07162-00001 Printing Control Error. Sometimes every 6 prints, sometime 15 prints. When you're doing a large order this get to be a big headache.

 

Any ideas what it might be?

Does anyone have any idea what caused this error? It does not seem to be the print head.

For error 07162-00001 the manual says "The process to generate signal for outputting ink did not finish within the specified time."

 

Load the backup data.

 

Failed parts Main Control PCB.

Does this mean I just need to replace the Main Control PCB?

Do I need a tech to replace it or can I do it myself?

It means try loading the backup data first as it may solve the problem.

If it doesn't then the manual suggests the main control PCB is faulty.

 

Personally I would unplug and re-plug all the connections to this PCB before replacing it.

Take Anti-static precautions as static discharge can cause damage.

 

To replace it:-

Backup the system data: Printer Selection → Maintenance → Extension → Reading and Writing Printer Data

 

Initialise the data: Printer Selection → Maintenance → Extension → Maintenance → Function Check

Register the serial Number: Printer Selection → Maintenance → Extension → Machine Specification

Load in the Backup data: Printer Selection → Maintenance → Extension → Reading and Writing Printer Data

I restored the backup data and now I get the following error:

 

07122-00004 DC Servo Motor Control Error

The manual says "Printhead move motor position detection error"

 

Is the print head moving normally?

Check the linear scale/ sensor is clean (This detects the movement of the print head)

Are you sure that have 07106 error? Maybe 07116 ? What message do you see with this error? Do you have D703, or other model? Which system software version is installed?

All written above. Try to load upgrade software and load backup. If it will not help - change main control pcb. After board replacement need upgrade system software and load backup. The latest system software - version 7, image print module - 1.03. profile data - 4.8.
