The qps loads,ejects the first sheets of paper normally as usual,sometimes it is even possible to get to the admin screen that shows the number of prints available, (in this case 300) which is very encouraging. But the error led on the printer lights up,and the screen displays " 106557 ask - 300 mechanical error ".

(also known as Kodak 305 , Mitsubishi cp-d70 ,etc). I did a search and found a site named nodevice (?!?) they were offering a download for around 4€,charging via Paypal. Trouble is,Paypal doesn't seem to like them and they haven't answered a question about it.
