Dave S Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 (edited) I've got a Noritsu QSS-3203 that has got a very faint banding problem, on all widths and lengths of paper. The worse bands repeat about every 42mm, there are also faint lines in between as well. A sample of it is here: https://files.fm/u/3r8c75ya The width of the paper on the sample print is 152mm the length is about 279mm I've cleaned all the pulleys, belts, adjusted the belt tensions, all made zero difference. Rotating the rollers by hand feels completely smooth, no knocking indicating worn bearings. I'm thinking it is probably the motor itself. Anyone had this before and found the cause? yustas Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I guess you need to check a A085917-00 first. Seems it has been worn out. It is in the bearing H001059-00. Also check it. 2. Check motor W409635-00. It gives such lines if defective.
kodak_service Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 You have to remove dirt on roller under a belt A060370-00.
Dave S Posted September 29, 2016 Author Report Posted September 29, 2016 Thanks yustus, & kodak_service for your replies. I did clean the dirt off the alumimum rollers under the A060370-00 belt, but it made no difference. I'm going to order a new motor + drive pulley + the 2 bearings nearest the motor and hope it solves it!
