Kjetil Fillip Tussi Olsen Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 I have a problem with my Noritsu qss 3704. the sort light is blinking and I can't get a connection to the computer. In EZ it´s offline. We have tried to switch IF card, but that didn't help either. a couple of weeks ago it would not start, but after switching the main supply on and off, it was suddenly alive. (the sort light stopped blinking and I could hear the check of magazine) When its on it works great. After that it has only become more and more difficult to turn it on, and now its impossible. All help is good help. Does someone know if I should get a connection to the IF card with just power and network cable? Maybe someone has been through this. Noob 3704
Bakul Posted November 23, 2016 Report Posted November 23, 2016 Hello, Have you checked the program timer settings? Which sort light is blinking? Are you talking about the green and red dome light? Or the series of lights on the side of sorter going down?
Kjetil Fillip Tussi Olsen Posted November 23, 2016 Author Report Posted November 23, 2016 Yes, all timer settings is turned off. the one on det side of the sort which is used to sort to next sort or you can hold for 3 seconds to turn the lab on.
Dave S Posted November 23, 2016 Report Posted November 23, 2016 Attached is some info that may help. Processor LED Status.pdf Kjetil Fillip Tussi Olsen 1
Kjetil Fillip Tussi Olsen Posted November 23, 2016 Author Report Posted November 23, 2016 Thanks, but unfortunately my combination is not showed here. When the solution temp is being raised the processor condition lamp is off, and the Manual sorter switch is blinking. When the solution temp is warm the processor condition lamp is on (green), and the manual sorter switch is still blinking.
Dave S Posted November 23, 2016 Report Posted November 23, 2016 The first combination (When the solution temp is being raised the processor condition lamp is off, and the Manual sorter switch is blinking) is shown on the 2nd page of the PDF document. It would seem the I/F main PCB is not finishing the startup operation. Check the voltage between TP21 and Ground (TP27-TP31) is 5V DCIf the voltage is good and stable, probably the fault will be with the I/F main PCB itself.
Kjetil Fillip Tussi Olsen Posted November 23, 2016 Author Report Posted November 23, 2016 The voltage is stable on 4,95V We have tried another I/F main card with same results. but maybe both cards are defect. Is there a way to test the I/F main card? If its ok, will I still get IP address with just network and power? and the rest disconnected? What does the battery (CR2450) do on the card? keep the IP address?
Dave S Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 There is a self diagnostic mode for the I/F Main PCB, however it only works if you can communicate with the PCB over the network. Maintenance: 2260 → Extension → Maintenance → Self-diagnostic → Printer I/F Main PCB Self-Diagnostic There is no mention of the battery in the manual, my guess is it is just for the program timer clock, and nothing else. There is LED 1 and LED 2 (Red LED's) on the I/F Main PCB that give the connection status and data transfer checking. LED 1 OFF: The PC and the printer I/F main PCB does not communicate. ON: The PC and the printer I/F main PCB normally communicates. LED 2 OFF: The PC and the printer I/F main PCB does not communicate. Blinking: The PC and the printer I/F main PCB normally communicates.Quickly blinking: The data is being transferred from the PC to the printer I/F main PCB.
