dailysetup Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 I'm having this issue when printing indexs for the positive film channel only. It appears the same on different print channels, paper types and sizes. I have a S3 scanner and running the latest software (ver 8)
Dave S Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 (edited) Does it look like this on the screen when you scan in the positive films? What do the prints from positive look like? Has it only just started doing this? Does it do the light source update normally? Edited May 10, 2017 by Dave S

We've only just started with positive scanning and just found this happen. The light source updates fine. it does the same when inserting a negative into the positive channel too, so it's not the film.
Dave S Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 It's going to be some kind of data corruption. Try loading in your backup data from a date before the problem started.

Perhaps something I can disable and re-enable in the menu?
Dave S Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 You can try initializing the scanner slope correction data for positive. Menu, Extension, Setup, Scanner Setup, Scanner slope correction Positive, Master data. Also check the 135F data as well. The other thing you can try is doing the paper profile calibration. Menu, Extension, Setup, Laser Setup, Paper Specification Registration/Setup, F: Functions, Printer Profile Calibration. Other than that not much more you can do as an operator. The next stage would be data initialization of the scanner, and set it up again, but this would need the focus to be re-done with special jigs. Other possible causes are corruption of the profile data, you could try uninstalling and re-installing the profile data again. Just a thought was the profile data updated with the software? As old profile data on new software can cause strange things like this. I think the latest is 7.19.

Dave S Posted May 12, 2017 Report Posted May 12, 2017 Great. Thanks for posting back and saying what fixed it.
