can anyone give me infomation as to what is needed to be able to use the DL430 as a printer

ideally from an XP based PC

what software would need to be installed in order for it to function

Hello. All depends how you want to use your printer - as Fuji or as Noritsu.

To run as Fuji you need MS-01, connecting software, system software, image processing module, profile data and optional software. Can run from Windows XP or Windows 7 32 bit. Have use ink from Fuji, or re-program Noritsu cartridges.

To run as Noritsu need Ez controller, system software, image processing module, profile data and optional software. Can install on any Windows ( even on Windows 10 x64 ) .  Have use ink from Noritsu, or re-program Fuji cartridges.

Have all software for both systems. If I install for myself I'd use Noritsu software. It is new, modern and user friendly. How looks printing interface can see on any Noritsu minilab or drylab.

Hello. What details you need? All technical details written here. To run as Fuji you need MS-01, DL-430 connecting software, DL-430 system software, DL-430 image processing module, profile data and optional software for MS-01. Your choice, which optional software to use. At least would be recomended to use MS-16 ( six frame view; without it can see one frame only and print one by one ) . Fuji software can run from Windows XP or Windows 7 32 bit

To re-program cartridges you need programmer or just change the chip ( can get them separately ) . Noritsu and Fuji cartridges are the same - just printed different text on box ( drylab do not see it ) and different information in the chip. Ink is the same ( made by Epson ) . If chip changed or reprogrammed for drylab that will be enough. By the way - now many third party companies make cartridges for Noritsu or Fuji branded minilabs. They sell the same cartridges - just use different chip. When you use Fuji software on cartridge chip should be information that cartridge was made for Fuji dry printer. If will be used Noritsu software then on chip should be information that cattridge is for Noritsu drylab.

I have latest Fuji software with all manuals. If need - I can supply them, The most my customers use Fuji DL-430 with Noritsu software and Noritsu cartridges, but choice is yours.

I do not have the initial Data CD for printer is it still possible to set up and use printer without it ?

I am unable to get the CD from Fuji

I have few DL-430 initial data CD, but they are useless for you. Initial data CD are different for each printer. 

When I need I got initial data CD for Noritsu drylab. Just had to give serial number to get CD for exact printer. Your printer is made by Noritsu, but for distribution through Fuji. I think Fuji should provide CD also. If Fuji has not - they could get from the maker ( Noritsu ) .

It is possible to run drylab without initial data CD. How to do it you should ask your service engineer or company, which sold software to you. When I sell some software then help to install it. They should do the same.

Hello there!

I am a small print shop, down in Torquay in Devon (UK) using a Fuji branded DL 430 and running MS Server.

I desperately need to re-do my entire system, and was wondering if anyone could assist? (At a fee of course!)

I would like to consider changing to Noritsu EZ controller, but thats not a deal breaker.  I have one or 2 installation disks, but I am not sure if they are the correct ones.

All in all it might be a little bit of a mess.  I do have the Initial data disc though!

If anyone is available, please let me know

Hello. I'm from London, so quite far from you - about 250 miles. On other hand I had trips to your area ( had to repair laser in Bodmin ) .

You do not need initial data CD. Just on printer maintenance menu make printer backup. It is better, than initial data. All settings are there and they are current.

Fuji DL-430 latest software is designed to work on W7 32 bit. If to install using Noritsu software can install on any Windows ( I'd recommend W10 X64 PRO ) . 

I can do all. Have all software to run your minilab on EZ controller. Have EZ controller also. All can install online. Tell, if need it. Last year I installed about 100 DL-430 ( former Morrisons printers ) . The most of them are installed as Noritsu. All instillation can do online. If I installed this printer in Australia then can install in Torquay also. 

Pay attention - if you install EZ controller have to buy ink for Noritsu ( not for Fuji ) . Fuji and Noritsu ink cartridges are absolutely the same ( both made by Epson ) . Different only label and information inside chip. There are many ink replacement makers and they make ink for both brands.
