Noritsu S-1800 Film scanner

Dear Sirs,

Is Model   [ S-1800  ] a new film scanner from Noritsu?

How different is    [ S-1800 ]    with earlier      [        HS-1800      ]     film scanner ?

Is S-1800 film scanner using USB connection to PC  ?   Do we need  EZ-controller software with dongle ?

I see no difference between the HS-1800 and the S-1800.

Both are connected by USB and need EZ controller, or the Twain driver software.

Both scanners use the same system software. Only last versions support S-1800.

Indeed. Even if you look at the specifications of those scanners you will not see the difference.

Today I looked CD with part lists for S-1800 and HS-1800. There just one part is different - scanner label (  A091348-01 for  HS-1800 and AA10177-01 for S-1800 ) . All other parts are the same for both models. Noritsu just changed scanner name and nothing else.
