Hello everyone,

At work we're using a frontier 570 connected to an OLD Windows XP computer and we're considering changing the computer to a better one with windows 7.

Could someone help us configure it ? What software do we need to make it work? For the network configuration, we have everything. We just need the softwares to make it work. We have it on the old computers, can we transfert it ?

Thanks you very much,

PSM Carcassonne

Hello. What is your system configuration ( printer with scanner, FMPC or both of them ) ? What software you use now - FDIA ( C4/C5, D20, A1 and optional ) or FE ( S2, S9, S1 and optional ) ?

Only one software, which can work on W7 ( 32 bit only ) . It is MS01 version 4.2 (  or older 4.0 ) . The same software will be installed on server, scanner and FMPC.  On scanner you need MS11. You can't run this software on your old computers ( except scanner ) . Software need more powerful computers. With MS01 can be installed many optional modules.

To transfer settings you have to make backups on old systems and load them during scanner or FMPC instillation ( depends on system connection ) . Also can save and load print channels.

After software instillation minilab software will be updated to version 3. If have configuration with FMPC then on 570 can install long length software. After that minbilab software will be updated to 3.1 and will be enabled long length print. Then can print 640 mm ( instead 457 mm ) .

Have all software ( main and optional ) and all manuals. Know how to install and make configuration. Write p.m. if need something.

Hello Minilab service and thank you for your reply.

Sincerly sorry for the delai, I was off until yesterday.

As far as I know, I have both of them, installed on windows XP, and it includes FDIA AND FE...

I guess I have the possibly to install windows XP on the newer machine by bypassing the limits given by the new hardware even if I loose a lot of performances.

I'm sorry Yustas but we already paid more than 3000€ in fuji softwares and we're not ready to pay again for the samething, with all my respect.

Thanks in advance.

I have no idea, honestly... My boss is directly working with them. It includes services like repairs and everything, but we pay them monthly too for that, so it doesn't explain the price. And if we're changing the computer ourself, it's because their services askes us for 3500€ to change an old XP machine for another one... What the heck haha... But honestly we won't pay more so if we can't find a free solution here I'll try again with XP and see if it works.

Thanks again.

If I was there when they first took the 3000€ option I would have said no haha.

Sorry, do not understand your answer. What are both ? Can't be that you have FDIA and FE - they are different systems and only one can work on the same time. To have FDIA and FE can have 6 computers ( or hard disks ) - two for scanner, two for server and two for FMPC.

Even with instillation full set of software should have lower price than you payed. You have send request to company you payed and do not search here. When I sell something I help to install, or install myself using Teamviewer. They should do the same.

Do not see FE software on your pictures. This time I got a little information - you have printer and scanner. Do not know you have FMPC or not. You didn't tell it. On server installed C4/C5 - FDIA module for server. New C4/C5 version can be installed on 32 bit W7. Do not know which version there. To find version have go to Admin menu ( password DI ) . To find scanner and FMPC versions have with mouse press ''i'' button ( left bottom corner ) . If have not FMPC then printer firewire cable will be connected directly to scanner computer ( tethered printer ) .
