karen villarreal Posted January 7, 2018 Report Posted January 7, 2018 Hi, I´m new in the world of mini labs. Recently my husband adquired a Noritsu minilab MP1600. He is photographer and wants to expand his business. Our doubt is about the chemicals and paper to be used. could anyone please help us with a quick overview or where can we have a tutorial?
Minilab service Posted January 7, 2018 Report Posted January 7, 2018 Hello. You have very old minilab. Can search information about QSS2701 and QSS2711. The same printer used there. There are printers with DLS option ( running Kodak software ) and without DLS ( running Noritsu software ) . Chemicals depends on processor specification - RA, or SM. If SM - have use replenishment cartridges made by Kodak. If RA - can use any RA process chemicals for paper ( made by Kodak, Fuji, Tetenal, Cpac, Champion, Axel color and etc ) . SM minilabs can be converted to RA. Your minilab has first generation MLVA printing engine. There exposition using light. The best is to use papers for analog minilabs. Digital papers ( papers to print with laser ) is not recommended. Some papers can be used on both minilabs ( analog minilabs and minilabs with lasers ) . Have to look paper specification for exact paper. karen villarreal 1
