Black Overexposure During Judgement of Scans

Hello All,

We are effectively dead in the water right now so any help would be appreciated.

We are scanning on an HS-1800 that has been doing perfectly until a few days ago. All of a sudden, for images that are overexposed, we're seeing black on the judgement screen when trying to correct, and usually have to add 6+ density or more to get it back to a decent brightness when the negative is nowhere near that overexposed. The saved images mostly come out ok, but some come with a white pixelation where the overexposure is. We really hope it's a setting that one of our techs inadvertently changed because it seemed to happen from one day to the next.

Here's a link to a screenshot and one of the saved files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1oQR6PJUnF5UfEfP-5kFKW8FBmbzjj1WE?usp=sharing

Most likely a film development issue. Probably bad Bleach or Fixer.

The black will be because the digital ICE is seeing the silver in the film and trying to correct it.

Maybe D-ICE has been turned off on the LS-600 scanner.
