Should be installed Twain driver and LS-600 system software.
On Windows 10 should be Twain driver 6.60 or later. The latest - version 8.0 .
LS-600 system should be 7.0 , or later. The latest - 7.10

Install both software and install LS-600 driver ( disable driver signature verification - use an advanced boot option ) . After that scanner will be connected.

Do you know where I can get the Twain driver 6.6? I think I have 6.5

Twain driver is not a problem why your computer do not see scanner. Even without Twain driver your computer should see scanner on device manager. Scanner maintenance also should work. The most important LS-600 system software. It is enough to register scanner.

Twain driver 6.5 is for W8, but it perfectly works on W10.

Look do you see scanner on device manager. If see try to run scanner maintenance ( update light source, calibrate afc sensors ) . When all work you should see scanner on scanning software which you use.

If need can online help install and make all settings. Write private message, if need it.

Do you see the scanner in device manager at all? It should be under "other devices" or "NKC devices" as usb scanner ls600. From there, you should be able to update the driver manually by browsing for the folder that has the driver. Do you get an error message when you try to update it? If so, what does it say?

As Minilab service mentioned earlier, you have to disable driver signature enforcement. You can see how to do that for windows 10 here. Once your computer has started back up with the driver signature enforcment disabled, you should be able to update the driver for the scanner manually in device manager without any error message.

Thank you guys so much for all the help, I’ll be at that computer later today and can trouble shoot. It looks like I’m running the ez controller 6.5, Twain driver 6.5, and 6.5 for the LS600 software. When I select Twain source, the LS600 pops up but when i get the scanner up it says it’s not connected

Are you sure, that LS600 system software has version 6.50? I saw only version 6.00, 7.00 and 7.10. Version 6.00 - for W8, 7.00 - W10 and 7.10 - W11.

Didn't test version 6.00 on W10, but I think all three versions should work on W10.

It does not appear on device manager and when I go to try to do anything on the menu it says to connect the scanner unit

Corectly install driver. You can make scanner maintenance only when see scanner on device manager. When installed on device manager should see group "NKC device" . Inside this group should see device  "USB Scanner LS-600" . Device should't be marked yellow.

Now scanner should be on device manager, but identified as unknown device, or there identified wrong. Open device manager and look do you see it here. If do not see - disconnect scanner USB and connect back. Of cource scaner should be powered. During disconnection and connection device manager should "blink" . If you didn't know how device manager "blinks" you can see it coinnecting and disconnecting some other USB device ( USB mouse, USB key, or something else ) .
