CatLABS
Getting ready to start up my new to me V30. I have all chems here ready and waiting to be poured in. Can someone please help me understand how to fill the machine from from its current empty state? Where/how much goes where: For the upper fill ports, lower tanks? Should i just make all working solutions with starter, and fill from the top until full? Perhaps there is a manual page that discusses this? Thanks all
Minilab service
How to mix chemicals depend on chemicals you use. Look chemicals datasheet how to mix. Mixing for working tanks and replenishment tanks is different. Starter only for working tanks. All information can find on chemical datasheet. Here should be all mixing proportions ( for working tanks and replenishment tanks ) . Also there should be replenishment rates and working tank temperatures. Some information can see on QSF-V30 instillation manual, but there just can see how to fill tanks, adjust temperatures, replenishment rates and some other information. So i guess my question is: Which are the working tanks and which are the replemishment tanks (upper/lower?) What are the volumes for each tank? Thanks! Minilab service
How you are going to work, if do not understand basic things? Working tanks - where you process films ( at the top - where racks ) . There need fill chemicals to process films. Starter will be used only there. On minilab menu you need set working temperatures. Replenishment tanks - where replenisment liquid ( at the bottom ) . On minilab menu need set replenishment rates ( how many chemicals from replenishment tanks will be filled to working tanks during film processing) . Working tanks CD 7.6 L , BL 3.1 L , FIX 5.4 L , STB 5.7 L Replenisher tanks - 12 L each All this information can find on minilab specification manual. Open set of QSF-V30 manuals. There you can find everything - specifications manual, Installation Manual, Maintenance Manual, Service Manual, Circuit diagrams, Option Manual, Troubleshooting Manual, Operator's Manual - Basic Operations, Operator's Manual - Additional Operations, Operator's Guide. How to mix chemicals can find on chemicals datasheet. Use datasheet for chemicals, which you going to use.

The machine is set and all temps and replenish rates are set up, just trying to get the first fill in going. RE STB and BL: there are two fill ports at the top for BL and three for STB. Are they all shared so just fill one, or fill each? Thanks
Dave S
There is only 1 sub tank (fill port) for the BL, there are 2 sub tanks for the FIX, and 3 sub tanks for the STB. The Fix and STB tanks are all separate, and need to be individually filled. The tank order from left to right is STB3 STB2 STB1 FIX2 FIX1 BL CD Edited February 12 by Dave S
Minilab service
Manual is on my computer. Link is E:\Noritsu \Noritsu QSF\QSF-V30 manuals . Write private message and I can explain how to get them. Temperatures and replenishment rates should be entered which are for chemicals you use. If temperatures usually are standard ( 37.8, 38, 38, 38 60 ) then replanishment rates can be very different. Even with the same chemicals replenisment rates will depend how film processor will be used - standard film ammount processing, low volume, or very low throughput. You need fill all tanks to the top. All float sensors should be activated ( float should be at the top position ) . The most easy open top cover and remove upper turn racks. Then you can easy fill working tanks and see levels. Float sensors are beside filters. Through filter hole you can reach them by finger, Sensors are at the side. When fill tanks be very carefull. If into CD tanks get other chemicals CD will be contaminated and you have through out it. Also be carefull when remove racks, beside CD tanks. After filling return turn rack, close cover and wait unill chemical reach temperatures. Then make daily test ( through processor run leader ) . After that you can process films. First process some test film. Just take film, make random shoots and process film. Only when know, that everything good you can process customers films. Before filling with chemicals the best is to fill with water, wait untill will be preheated and run leader with any films ( can be processed, or not ) , or thin belts. This way you test racks and can see if there are some film scratches. When chemicals filled it is more dificult to repair racks, or something else.
