CatLABS
Recently, my SP3000 has been missing frame position, progressively as the roll advances through the autofeeder. The first 6-10 frames are OK, then they start to randomly shift, some more than others, sometimes so much that part of the previous frame is in the scan. This happens despite manually going over each frame in the preview and adjusting its position. How can i correct this? Thanks Video.mov Edited March 2 by CatLABS
Minilab service
It is possible to adjust only position of all frames. When advance is unstable you have some film carrier mechanical fault and need repair it. Film is advanced instable. At the beginning small part of film is inside film carrier and it is more easy to make film advance. When bigger part of film is inside it is more difficult make film advance. When something inside film carrier doesn't work properely film is supplied instable. Might be something disturb to move film on second film carrier part, but can be that have film advance instability everywhere and instability accure when inside film carrier is bigger part of film. Yes, this is true, the later part of the film position gets progressively worse as the film advances through the scanner. Can you hel me understand where the problem is and how to fix it? Minilab service
Need to find what cause instability and repair film carrier. Here is mechanical problem. Impossible to gues what exactly cause instability when do not have film carrier myself. Using software settings is possible when frame position difference is stable ( for example 1st frame 1 mm, 2nd frame 2mm, 3rd frame 3 mm etc ) . Minilab service
Probably you are talking about offset ( not about offest ) . This setting is not related with film position. NC100AY focus offset adjustment - menu 0441. Frame position correction : 0400 - NC100AY fixed feeding setup 0420 - mask position adjustment 0440 - NC100AY sensor calibration 0451 - NC100AY machine data setup Frame position can be corrected only if film advance is stable and always film stopps in the same position. CatLABS
Found the problem: On the drive setting, the machine was set to "feed". When set to "frame" all is well and works as it should. Thanks.
