Hey guys. I am a photographer who recently started working in a photo lab, we have drylab printers but we "had" a DLAB1 and stopped working, the technician said it is the mother board on one of the computers that died but I doubt. Can someone please try to help me to put this back up, only because I really think I can save it and would make my boss very happy and maybe give me a raise hahaha and as well we have a film processor module detached from the dlab and I wish we could put it to work even independent if possible.

You can contact me on whatsapp if is easier...

Sorry for not knowing the terms and names properly I started last November on the shop and the dlab 'died' in Jan.

It shouldn't be too hard to get running again, but there's a lot to learn! Start with Boris's great website here https://sites.google.com/view/agfa-dlab1/home?authuser=0 and read through the service manual.

Basically there are 2 computers-- more or less just standard PC's. They both use the same motherboard, and it's not impossible to get a replacement.

With these machines it's very common for the RAM sticks on one or both of the computer motherboards to get a bad connection and prevent the computer from starting up. Try re-seating each RAM stick and swapping them around to every possible configuration of RAM in each slot, and try replacing the RAM with new sticks. It's not too hard to find replacements but you'll need to make sure to get the right type of ram.

There are still several companies in the US, Canada and Europe which can provide support for the machines either on the phone or in person.

When you have some more specific questions ask here and I will try ot help! The first thing you need to do is establish if you have a problem with the MPU or IPU computer.
