Epson D700 service program questions

Hello, I have been reading this forum for a while without registering, but today I decided to ask here and hope you can help me.

It is about the service program for EPSON D700:
Where can I buy it for reasonable money? I mean a working program because I have had a negative experience buying from ebay.
Does this program work on Windows 10 or will I need an old machine?
I will be grateful for any useful information that will save me time, money and headaches.

I think any version works on any windows or at least on Windows 10 which is what I have, you just have to go to the task panel and close all printer processes like printing monitor for example or you get a communications error or something like that. I was on your situation and downloaded a super old version (1.0.0 I believe?) for free from archive.org which is probably older than the one you got from ebay and used it to reset the ink tube counter.

If you need the software for anything else than resetting counters, I'm sure someone should be able to help.

You are absolutely right. Thanks to this forum I found a great version of the service software (without add-ons that trigger the antivirus). I would never have guessed about the suspension of the processes. And that turned out to be very important.
