Small white line

We have a small white line, see pic, no seen on everything because of subject matter, but easily seen on many neutral toned prints. We are pretty sure its not a processor mark, but actually think that its a laser path blocking mark. We have cleaned, on the outside the laser glass, slot , but still getting the mark. We did have the laser apart and didnt notice this until recently, much later than the repair. trying to avoid taking it apart again to clean the inside of the laser glass, but that is looking more likely to us. We have also noticed the white like does seem to almost line up with the triangle on the top of the test strip, if the matters? Any of you photo gurus got any ideas

Image processing pcb doesn't effect test print. Here is dust on laser unit glass, or dust inside laser unit.

Remove plastic, which is on laser glass. Remove laser output glass ( two screws ) . Then try to print test print without them. Do not measure it, because test print will be darker, than should be. Look do you see this line on picture.

You clean the laser glass and check and clean the laser guide. Replace the printer cartridge/ribbon with a new one or try to remove the back printer and you try to print.

The test is not clear, is the black triangle ok? If is not ok you check the exposure position adjustment.

I just took out the two little silver screws with what seemed to be holding the glass and expected the glass to be free. Is there some kind of trick or do we need to remove the black screws next to the little silver screws to get the glass out? We dont want to damage anything.

Is 12 inch paper all you run in this machine? If its caused during exposure it should be on all paper types in the same spot.

If it is during exposure, something is reflecting light in that spot. Usually it is dust that has accumulated on the pressure guide. Check the slot on the guide carefully in that path, use a flashlight to look for dust or anything that could reflect light. You can hold the guide over your emu print to see the path. Use pressurized air to blow it out thoroughly. If black paint was scratched or rubbed off the guide in the slot it could also cause issues.

The way the lasers make exposures, I would say it is highly unlikely it is any further than the front/back of the glass.

Might be curved lens at laser output is dirty. Now, when glass removed try to clean through gap in the front of laser unit. Take soft cloth and clean it.

On other hand it is strange. If on 12 inch paper line is 2.5 inch from edge then line on 8 inch should be also. Line on this paper should be about 0.5 inch from edge.

Probably dust. Laser unit long time was opened. First without success he tried to install Chinese laser head. Then took some time until he installed his original laser head, which I repaired him. During this time dust can get there. I advised to cover laser unit front part with paper sheets, but might be he did it too late.

Just one is strange. Why stripe is on 12 inch paper, but do not see it on 8 inch. 12 and 8 width difference is 4 inches ( 2 inches on both sides ) . So if on 12 inch paper line is 2.5 inch from side then on 8 inch paper line should be 0.5 inch from side.

Can try to print test on 210 mm paper. It is a little wider than 8 inch paper ( 203 mm ) . Then look if you see the same line there. 210 mm paper is quite popular, so easy to find it. Noritsu also can print on 216, 240, 254, 279 mm papers, but they are not popular.
