kodakman7 Posted October 1, 2025 Report Posted October 1, 2025 Hello team - keeping the dream alive with an antique 2901- there cant be too many left now? I am currently battling what seems to be a uniformity or MLVA related issue on a 2901 (details in post about drive voltage PCB) but wanted clarification on the last step in the process DaveS has posted for performing Uniformity 1. Does that Uniformity 1 step need to be done for each paper type? Also, as much for information as anything , re. the flatbed scanner step/s- is it an absolute to use the Umax scanner as referenced or could any (good) flatbed scanner be used ? Cheers and thanks
Minilab service Posted October 1, 2025 Report Posted October 1, 2025 If papers are similar then you can use one uniformity file. If papers are different then might need few uniformity files. For second paper you can use first paper uniformity files. Copy file and rename it. If to make uniformity using flatbed scanner then need Umax Astra 3400 , 3450, 4400, 4450 . To register scanner on software need Kodak Q-60 color target ( IT8.7/2 ) and file with calibration data.
