Christ Shanti Posted October 3, 2025 Report Posted October 3, 2025 I have two sensors that keep triggering the alarm. I assume they are dirty, but I'm not sure where they are. They also just appear randomly. Some days it will and some days it won't (we shut off machine daily). The first error reads close upper cover. I want to say the sensor is by the drying rack. The second error is "film cutter not moved check film remaining in film cartridge. That error appears usually when there a 12 ct film roll but now it does it for random 36 rolls.
Balázsovics Posted October 4, 2025 Report Posted October 4, 2025 i'm searching for the sensors in the service manual, hopefully i can find it, but while i'm doing that clean that poor machine, it's filthy, have some respect for the tools you work with prauphet 1
Balázsovics Posted October 4, 2025 Report Posted October 4, 2025 You need to look at sensor number 4 on the chart Cutter position sensor (left) If the machine cuts the film but says that it didn't the sensor is dirty, something is in the way (piece of film, dust bunny etc) or is faulty.

davidlam Posted October 6, 2025 Report Posted October 6, 2025 I would suggest also cleaning / resoldering bad/rusty corroded contact points on the J340036 Loading connection P.C.B. which is inside the film loading box. Many strange / intermittent errors will show up when this pcb is rusty / broken tracks IF cleaning / changing sensors cannot solve the symptom. Good luck !
prauphet Posted February 12 Report Posted February 12 Thanks for posting your situation Ahhlurkin and for all the replies - especially your thorough assessment and recommendations Balázsovics / davidlam. How did things turn out? I have a similar issue and I'll post it separately. Cheers-
prauphet Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 Just a quick note from our progress with a similar situation involving sensors, wiring and 'lack of preventative maintenance' contributing to error codes. Found many loose/corroded connectors, sensors and grunge in general. In our case we replaced one cutter motor that was leaking, solved that issue after fixing loose connectors. Initial sensor error resolved after cleaning, has not returned code. Based on comments here and with a Noritsu tech with 30+ years experience, all the sensors in the loading box are of the same type FYI. We found a sensor on eBay (supposedly new) but another forum comment suggests an aftermarket sensor (made by the same company that manufactured the original for Noritsu) that's in the $5 range. Will see how things go>>
Minilab service Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Sensor is Omron EE-SX4009-P1 . It is Noritsu part number I053129-00 . On QSF-V30 there are few of them, so if need to test sensor can swap with sensor which is on other position.
