alexvigor Posted October 19, 2025 Report Posted October 19, 2025 Hi. The problem came with rapid outside weather change. Overall outside temps dropped by about 10 deg.celsius. Morning inside temps dropped to about 19 deg. raising to 24 during the day. The very next morning daily setup values were Y+2.0 M+2.8 C0 D+0.1 Next (made just after) DS showed no more than ~0.1. During the day multiple(3-4) DSetups gradually returned YM by -0.5 -0.7 and in the evening showed no more than normal steps 0.1 - 0.2 in each channel. We changed red AOM and performed Initial Setup normally. Next morning only magenta "hit". He DS showed Y-0.1 M+1.9 C0 D+0.5 During the day magenta values drifted back by M -0.5 -0.7 and D-0.2 as before (but without any Y fluctuations). We changed green AOM and did another IS normally. (I should mention - i'm not sure in full working condition of this new AOM). Next morning DS test was OK, but very next one made in about 30 minutes later showed again high magenta Y0 M+1.8 C0 D+0.5 with same drift back during the day. I tried swapping G&B laser drivers but it changed nothing. I will try to swap G and B AOMs but i don't think it'll help. So what is next place to look into? I need to exclude all minor parts prior to G laser head replacement. Could it be G AOM crystal or laser control PCB? How can it be detected? Laser type A1 Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Minilab service Posted October 19, 2025 Report Posted October 19, 2025 It is better to swap AOM driver with other channel. Then you can see where have color changes - on the same channel, or other. If AOM driver is good then it is faulty G laser head. It is typical for A1 laser unit.
