Error 6901 : Arcnet communication error.

Hi guys.

Found a Noritsu 3201 machine in condition error 6901-2000 arcnet communication error.

Checked it the 5V power supply voltage increase to 24V.

What is the worst thing the damaged pcb : 

1. D-ice control pcb

2. D-ice pcb

3. Image processing pcb or

4. Image correction pcb.

PS : The machine : QSS 3201 Pro.

Please send photos to show location of the suspicious 5V power supply .... you said now becomes 24v output.

I couldn't make it the pictures, now I was replace the good 5V power supply and the error appear after I replace a good 5V power supply.

please check J/P20-21 and J/P442-443  D ice connector 

J/P 73 on Image pcb JP-219/220 laser control PCBJ/P1517 Printer control pcb

Its problem in D Ice Control PCB

Please check The System Version check

Hi experts. 

I was replaced the board of d-ice control pcb with a good one. 

And all optical cables and connectors are good but the error 6901 still persist. 

Any suggest?

Check everything step by step. From Digital ICE control pcb remove all ARCNET cables. Leave connected only ARCNET cables from computer. Then run ARCNET test. Should be good ARCNET connection with Digital ICE control pcb. Only when have good connection with this board one by one can connect other boards ( image processing, printer, laser, processor ) .

If do not have connection between computer and Digital ICE control pcb then can be missing Digital ICE control pcb power supply ( 5V ) , bad ARCNET connection ( on computer, or Digital ICE control pcb ) , or faulty boards. Check power suply, clean ARCNET connectors , trim ARCNET cable ends ( 90 degrees ) , check ARCNET connections ( cable where is light should be connected to dark sensor ) , try connect to other ARCNET sensors pair ( on Digital ICE control pcb ) .

After replaced three boards ie : 

1. D-ice control pcb

2. Image processing pcb

3. Image correction pcb

The machine back to normal condition again. 

Error 6901 : arcnet communication error, was clear. 

The three above boards was damaged by increasing voltage of power supply 5V to 24V.
