I used Proxmox linux so i could map the 2 firewire cards. all runs propelry except no images out.... i see the raw files in the inspool folder and i see some generic output but no images in the output. no errors occur. ideas? i reinstalled ssi but seems to be same. also the options for the ssi seem to be gone form frontier software.

On stand alone SP3000 is enough one firewire card. Only grey firewire cable is real firewire. It is connected to image box. To black firewire cable connected 12V relay. This cable from firewire port uses only 12V power supply and nothing else.

Which firewire card did you use ? On original computer is Ratoc FW4 ( PCI - 1394a firewire 400 board with NEC chip ) . The same board is inside scanner image box.

On SP3000 can be installed :
FDIA ( A1 + C4/C5 + optional modules )
FE ( S1 + S2 + optional modules )
MS ( MS11 + MS01 + optional modules )
Need two computers ( scanner computer and server computer ) . What do you have installed?

Replacing computer that comes in the unit.  But what your saying is that clearly other computer is at play if it worked before the local computer broke?  If so I assume that needs some configuration?  If name is same and passwords etc the same I just have to get it back to that IP to make it work? what config is on the other computer? Can i just use a VM for that also?

Standard Fujifilm SP3000 configuration is two computers.
First computer is Toshiba. There Windows 2000 PRO, scanner system software ( A1, S1, or MS11 ) and file export software. On computer can be installed optional modules. This computer is to control scanner and scan images.
Second computer is server. Using network it is connected to scanner computer. From scanner computer to server transferred scanned images. There files are processed. Then you can convert and save them. Server software can be C4/C5, S2, or MS01.

If you have virtual system then might be you have both comuters there. Only you can know what you have. To see scanner software version on main window with mouse need press symbol "i" . Then you see what you have.

From what I can tell its all in 1 computer unless its done on the PIC computer but I am pretty sure its all in 1. i see SSI scanner software is red.

V: 1.8-0E-014

Also, SSI is not working stand alone scanner importer  dofesnt appear working

Scanner system software is A1 version 1.8-0E-014 . It is part of FDIA . The latest A1 is 1.8-0E-016. Newer versions have S2 from FE package and MS11 from MS package.

Probably on computer didn't work SQL ( not SSL ) . SQL is not on scanner. It is on server, where you process scanned images.

You have two computers on one ( scanner and server ) . It is not standard. Standard configuration - two computers. Then scanner computer is Toshiba with Windows 2000 PRO. Server can be with XP, W7 32 bit, or W10 64 bit ( depends on server software and version ) .

SSL is a certificate ha. But yeah if it needs a DB that makes sense. NO the program was called SSI standalone scanner importer.   I made a new one with python. Can I update my software for scanning it self on the fuji side?

You are saying that theres SQL? I did notice the sql locally kind of i removed the image export and am processing the raw images.  So for my own understanding the way the scanner works is it uses the network and the PIC helps it scan?  Even though its stand alone program? I can contact with fuji if i want more on that side but from the scanning perspective I see it saves raw images and some binary info file. I made a program that montiores the inspool dir and then processes it directly to a netowrk drive and converts it.  Works well ~300 lines and installed on windows 2000.

THe toshiba was the one that died but id like to just process on this system, can i just do it locally? I can obviously make a fake virtual network and virtualize a image of the acutal PIC also but I want to make it so i can fire these up when ever I want.  I am acutally preparing to have 3 scanners on 1 server.  I am confused as to the powercycle requiremetns of the software. Seems like excessive disconnecting and rebooting needed. Its stable once on but finiky it appears.

Your system is not standard, so do not know how it should work.
