I recently purchased a used Fuji Frontier DX100 and tried to set it up on Windows 10. I installed the V4.7.0 driver, and everything seems to be working fine at first.

However, when I go into Printing Preferences to set the paper type, size, image quality, color management, etc., and then click OK, a pop-up window appears saying that I need to “register the printer information again because it’s not correct.”

I then went to DX Printer Maintenance Tool → Printer Management → Register/Delete Printer and executed it, but it shows 0 registered, 0 deleted, even though the printer is powered on and connected to the computer.

Additionally, when I try to print from Photoshop, the printer window shows an error saying “the loaded paper does not match the print settings.” The correct paper is loaded, and when I click OK, it prints the photo fine anyway.

Did I miss something or set something up incorrectly? I would really appreciate any help in resolving these issues.

Thanks in advance.

Do you see printer on Windows device manager? Is driver installed correctly?

Do you see Fujifilm DX100 EX on Windows Printers menu?
Can you see printer on Maintenance tool? There should see printer, serial number and firmware version. Is firmware the latest ( it had to be loaded duruing driver instillation ) .

If see printer and USB port settings then try to remove and add printer on Maintenance tool ( printer management - register/delete printer ) . Also can do it on printer properties.

If printer works and just paper is incorrect then open Maintenance tool, press Update paper information. Then select paper type file, which you need. If paper is not standard you can load it during software instillation. Also can add it manually and after that select it. If missing print size you need to add it ( Windows Printers menu, Fujifilm DX100 EX, printer settings, Print size, User Defined and enter what you need.

All information can find on DX100 ( Frontier-S ) manuals ( Maintenance Tool Operation Guide, Operation Guide, Printer Driver Operation Guide, Setup guide, Field Maintenance Guide and many others ) .

Thanks, Minilab Service.

Yes, I’ve installed the driver and can now see both DX100 EX and DX100 printers in the Windows printer list. The printer registration also seems to be working correctly now.

However, when I try to print from Photoshop 2020, I’m unable to print using the DX100 EX driver. The file appears in the print queue for about 3 seconds and then disappears without printing. I can only print successfully using the DX100 driver. What is the difference between the two drivers?

Do you know why this is happening, or does it not matter which driver I use?

Thanks for your help.
