Across 90% of my 120 carriers I'm getting a light leak roughly in the same spot where the first frame will be. Also happens on  the 3rd frame in 2 of the 120 negatives. I’ve done new seals on the loading chamber door and taped all the seams where the light could be getting in. some of these holders are new and still in good conditions. They click and close shut like they always have. Has anyone experienced this? Attaching photos.

Interesting. When you say 90% of your cassettes, you mean there is one or more that never have this issue? If that is case it is almost certainly a problem with the cassettes. I've experienced some pretty terrible ones sourced on eBay that look perfectly fine but leak.

You can do some other troubleshooting. I would recommend turning the lights off (at night if natural light present) and go through the whole process to rule out some sort of pressure fog or internal light leak from LEDs. Also try loading the cassettes with the lights on and let them sit for a bit before loading the machine with the lights off. Essentially try to rule out different parts of the process.

The cassettes do get forced open when the door is fully closed. If you are being extremely gentle with the last 10% of closing the door, there is certainly a chance some light might get in. Be deliberate when completely closing the door.

Good luck! Let us know what you find.
