Hello, I've done some research on the Agfa MSC 101.d Minilab.

It seems that when used to print photos from film, the printing process is identical to a non-digital Minilab like the Agfa MSC 101. The negative is directly exposed onto the photographic paper. The FIT digital system is only used when printing from digital files.

Are there any of you who have used or are still using an Agfa MSC 101.d and can confirm that it works this way?

I apologize in advance for any mistakes, but I'm French and I don't speak English. So I used Google Translate.

In France, there's probably still an Agfa MSC 101.d in operation, as can be seen in this video.

Your forum is very interesting. 🙂

Best regards, Eos5000🙂

Hello. Agfa MSC101 and MSC101.d - the same minilab. Just on MSC101.d added FIT unit ( FIT 4" , or FIT 8” ) . FIT unit can be added on standard MSC101 .

MSC101 has standard optical section. It can be upgraded to MSC101.d. Need add FIT lens, new image processor, camera kit, and FIT conversion kit.

On minilab from films can print directly. Also can scan film on scanner ( Sony UY-S100 ) and print digital file.

All information can see here :

FIT system works the same as work digital carriers. Instead to add FIT unit to MSC101 can be connected digital carrier and can make didital prints. FIT unit, CRT, film carriers and similar technologies were good on 2000. Then most shops had analog minilabs and can't print digital photos. Now all that are outdated. At low price can buy small digital minilabs and print orders there. Can be Noritsu QSS33 series, Noritsu QSS35 series, Fujifilm LP7100/LP7200 minilabs.

So you're confirming that if we insert a negative into the MSC 101.d, the print will go directly from film to paper? There won't be any digitization of the negative film followed by printing using the FIT system with the LCD screen?
