Delmar_Brasil Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 Hi, my test light wasn't coming out as magenta. I removed the AOM (Automatic Medium Optic) and increased the magenta potentiometer clockwise. The magenta started working again, but it's leaking to the right during the test and won't calibrate; it always comes out the same. Any suggestions?
Minilab service Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 AOM means acousto-optic modulator ( not Automatic Medium Optic ) . There are AOM crystal and AOM driver to control it. Probably using potentiometer you tried to adjust AOM driver power. Can't do it. Potentiometers are not for end users. When AOM driver works well then do not need to adjust anything. If suspect that AOM driver is not working then need swap AOM driver channels ( G with B ) . Then need try to make paper balance. If problem is on other channel then need change AOM driver. Now your G channel AOM driver power is too big. Try to make paper balance. If can't do it - try to decrease G channel power. If still can't adjust - change AOM driver. Delmar_Brasil 1
Delmar_Brasil Posted February 6 Author Report Posted February 6 I adjusted the potentiometer, returning it as close to the default setting as possible, and I made a mark in case I needed to. Now the color patterns are back to normal, but I'm now noticing lines in the test. I'll attach an image for you to see and what can be done.
Delmar_Brasil Posted February 6 Author Report Posted February 6 Another problem is that in black and white photos, some details are turning green, especially when there is white text.
Delmar_Brasil Posted February 6 Author Report Posted February 6 Here you can see the lines, could this be AOM?
Minilab service Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 You have various problems with Green ( Magenta ) . As written twice on AOM driver swap B and G channels. Make G laser optimal temperature automatic calibration.
