jorge_co Posted February 9 Report Posted February 9 (edited) A 3702HD does not maintain the laser temperature, already check the fans, change the sensor. What could it be? Change the status to COMPLETED, and print, but immediately back it goes to started Edited February 9 by jorge_co Change the picture
yustas Posted February 9 Report Posted February 9 As you can see, there is something wrong with the synchronization of the laser. QSS37 (regular, not G version) series has only one laser to repair - the green one. You need to check the condition of the green AOM driver first and then the condition of the green laser module.

Is that why it doesn't maintain the temperature? It prints fine, the colors come out well, and it doesn't show any errors.
Minilab service Posted February 9 Report Posted February 9 Do you have any error, or only see message that laser temperature is adjusted? Your Red laser temperature is 46.9 and B laser temperature is 47.3 . They should be 46.7 - 47.3. Errors would be if temperature is under 44.0 , or higher than 50.0 . Laser unit temperature is 32.9 . Laser unit temperature can be 15.0 - 42.0 . Errors would be if temperature is under 15.0 , or higher than 45.0 . That means all temperatures still acceptible and printer should work. B laser temperature reached upper range. Might be when starts to print it goes up and software starts to make temperature adjustment. R temprature control unit - connector J/P1532 ( contacts 1, 2 and 3 ) . Temperature sensor - connector J/P1504 ( contacts 1 and 2 ) . B temprature control unit - connector J/P1532 ( contacts 4, 5 and 6 ) . Temperature sensor - connector J/P1504 ( contacts 8 and 9 ) . Try reconnect these connectors. Check power suppliers. On J/P1532 pin 3 and 6 should be 24V and on J/P1504 pin 1 and 8 should be 1V . Try run software upgrade from HD ( for laser ) . Look if laser unit cooling fans ( FAN8 and FAN9 ) rotate. Fans are connected to connector J/P1551 ( pins 1 and 3 ) . When there have 24V then fans rotate. Fans are controlled by laser control pcb. You can test them on output check menu.
yustas Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 What is the temperature in the room where the lab is working?

I'll try changing the AOM and the green one, thanks

No error message appears, it just keeps changing and trying to calibrate the temperature, even without copying anything. The temperature doesn't stay steady. I already tried cleaning the connectors on the LASER PCB board. I haven't tried measuring the power supply yet because I thought an error message would appear if it were the power supply. - Both fans, the one in the front and the one in the back, are working; air enters through the front and exits through the back.

I also think it's this, but I have a 3502 working in the same place and it maintains the temperature perfectly; the place is set to approximately 25 degrees.

Hi. The fans that are responsible for cooling laser unit are located under the laser unit at the end of the rectangular manifold that goes under laser unit. There are no "front" or "back" fans. It's two fans together at the same place. Be sure you check those fans. Here's the picture from qss32 but they are the same in qss37
Minilab service Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 (edited) Noritsu AOM driver has not output where printer could see AOM driver temperature. You have check FAN8 and FAN9 ( 109BM24HA2 ) . They are to cool laser unit. Run fans from output check menu ( Laser Unit Cooling Fan 1,2 ON ) . Look if software can on and off them. Your environment temperature ( 25 degrees ) is good. Laser unit temperature is higher than usually ( 33 degrees ) , but still acceptable ( can be 15.0 - 42.0 degrees ) . Only B laser head temperature reached top allowed value ( 47.3 degrees when range is 46.7 - 47.3 ) . Need to check how B laser head temperature adjustment works. Need check voltages on J/P1532 ( contacts 4, 5 and 6 ) . On pin 6 always 24V . Voltages on contacts 4 and 5 depends laser head is heated, or cooled. Look what are voltages when laser head temperature is lower than 46.7 , when temperature in working range and when reached top allowed value ( 47.3 ) . Did you try to run software upgrade for laser control pcb ( from HD ) ? On older models sometimes it helps. Edited February 11 by Minilab service

I recommended checking the green channel because I noticed the laser synchronous sensor was in "Asynchronous" status. No more.

kodak_service Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Also run 2260 → Extension → Maintenance → Self-diagnostic → ARCNET Self-Diagnostic - Execute and post a screenshot of the result.
Minilab service Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Synchronous should be when R, G, or B is ON. When all they are OFF then see Asynchronous and it is normally. Do not know is R, G, B ON, or OFF. Can't see it on this menu. If I understand well printer works. Just sometimes printer makes laser tempearature adjustment. It can't cause faulty AOM driver. B laser temperature is 47.3. It is top allowed value. When B temperature becomes higher ( 47.4 ) then it is out of range. Then printer doesn't print and wait until temerature go down. Then no errors. Just see message about laser temperature adjustment.
