Josh Kidd Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Hi all, I’ve recently swapped out the CPZ23 board in my SP3000, and while everything appears to be functioning normally, I’ve noticed something odd. When comparing new scans to older ones from the same negatives, the new images look noticeably more pixelated when zoomed in. I’ve attached an example below for reference (left - original scan; right - recent scan with replacement board). The service manual mentions a Frontier 570 System (A1) Disc, which I don’t have. I’ve purchased the digital file version from minilablaser.com. Should I be trying to install this software, or are there specific menus and settings I should check first? Alternatively, does this sound more like an issue with the replacement board itself? Appreciate any leads or suggestions. Thanks, Josh
yustas Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Are your PCBs of the same revision? Sometimes, different revisions may give a lot of trouble. You should have bought the same revision PCB.
Minilab service Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 To compare files should be scanned on the same print size. When scan micromovement should be enabled. When CPZ23 changed need into board load software, which is on your scanner. Can be A1, S1, or MS11 ( depends what is on your computer ) . No problem, that you have digital file. Write file content on blank CD and you have it. Need write correctly -folder EZ171 should be on CD core. Software instillation need to run from CD/DVD drive, which has letter N . If CD/DVD drive doesn't work it is possible bypass it. During instillation need select correct instillation option. On CPZ23 can be three settings - settings which are on board, settings which are on HD and settings which are on floppy supplied with board. You can save all settings. Then one by one load them into scanner, scan and compare files. I think your software supplier explain how to do all that.
