Bluemooncamera Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 Hello, I am attempting to set up an LS-600 and have encountered an error: Scanner input balance error no. 06322-00004. I see that this is specifically about the IR values, so attached is a screenshot of the sensitivity check for the IR LED. I have cleaned the lens cover, carrier, and the light source with the built in cleaner tool. Any help is appreciated.
Minilab service Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 Can be problems with IR light from light source, problem on IR CCD, or on board. Open front cover and on sensor put magnet. Then through mobile camera look if you see IR light ( try ON - OFF to make sure ) . If you see IR light then need check IR CCD. Try reconnect IR CCD cable. Also can swap IR CCD cable with RGB CCD cable.
Bluemooncamera Posted February 18 Author Report Posted February 18 I did not see any IR light with this method. To be thorough, I tried swapping the IR and RGB ribbon cables above the lens (J30 and J31) and tried the sensitivity check again. This time there is a strong IR signal and no RGB signal.

This generally means the IR camera has failed. You can try re-seating the cable on the IR CCD end just in case it's a bad connection there. Normally when it's a bad part of the IR light source it tends to just be half of the waveform that is bad.
Bluemooncamera Posted February 19 Author Report Posted February 19 Great, I'll take a look at doing that. Any advice on removing the wiring guard to gain access to the PCB?

Any advice on removing the wiring guard to gain access to the PCB? I've used wire cutters to undo those security screws before! You can buy the special screwdrivers online.
