Buenas tardes.

Muchas gracias.

Good afternoon.

If anyone knows anything about this problem I'm having with a NORITSU 3701HD.

I get this error when I turn on the machine in the morning, and the sensors are brand new, recently replaced.

I turn off the machine, and the next day or two, the error disappears when I adjust the light intensity of the sensors.

It's very strange because it only happens occasionally.

If anyone could help me, I would be very grateful because it's driving me crazy...

Thank you very much.

06149-00002 means paper end sensor B error - when the light source level of the emission sensor is set to 255, the detection sensor does not turn LIGHT.

Paper end sensor B is sensor SE4 - conectors J/P357 ( emitter ) and J/P379 ( receiver ) . Need check it. Sensor can test on output check menu. Try calibrate paper sensors. Check sensor connection circuit and levels on sensor connectors.
J/P357 pin1 is emitter power supply. Voltage on J/P357 pin2 depends on adjustments. Lower voltage - bigger emitter power. Emitter is Infrared LED. Light from it can see through mobile phone cammera.
J/P379 pin1 is GL ( sensor control ) . There are pulses, so can see them only with multimeter. Pin2 is G ( ground ) . Pin3 is V ( 5V power supply ) . Pin4 is O ( output ) . Level depends sensor is openned, or close.

Open - close sensor. Look if you see changes on input check menu ( SE4 ) . Check receiver output levels when sensor is opened and closed. Should bo 0V, or 5V .

When you have error look sensor is opened, or closed by paper. Might be sensor works, but paper was not removed. Try into position B insert other paper magazine. Try to remove magazine and print without it. Look if you have the same error.

Do you have any images or photos I should look at? Because I really don't know where to find all this information you're telling me. I don't know if I should look in the machine's menu, or on the electronic boards at the bottom of the machine....

SE4 is sensor you need. Sensor has two parts - emitter ( two pin connector J/P357 ) and receiver ( four pin connector J/P379 ) . You can measure voltages on it. Then you can see how sensor works.

If nothing between emitter and receiver on input check menu SE4 status should be LIGHT .
If to insert something between emitter and receiver then SE4 status should be DARK.
On receiver output level should change. Can see it with multimeter.

On your last photo processor boards. Thay are not connected to this sensor.
Printer boards are inside printer - under black cover.

Could you tell me which motherboard communicates with this SE4 sensor...?

Here is SE4 connection circuit. As you see sensor circuit is on two boards - printer I/O pcb and printer control pcb.

Did you test sensor as I wrote on second post? Did you measure voltages on emitter and receiver? Anything missing there?
