Im sorry

I have a Konica R2 minilab printer. Lately, it's been having a problem: a random line appears in photos, sometimes light, sometimes dark, and it doesn't even appear in all photos.

There's a gray test where both lines appear simultaneously, light and dark.

Th problem is with exporsure head unit. When have dark line then pixels on PLZT module are always opened. When have light line then pixels on PLZT module are always closed.

Open exposue head unit. Check PLZT module cable connections on EXP-P-MAIN BOARD ( 2860H1300 ) and  EXP-P-VD BOARD ( 2860H1310 ) . Also check connections on EXP-P-LED BOARD ( 2860H1320 ) and TEMP-CONTROLL BOARD ( 2860H1350 ) .

If you have EXP-P-MAIN BOARD ( 2860H1300 ) and  EXP-P-VD BOARD ( 2860H1310 ) then try to change them. If all that will not help then PLZT module is faulty and you need other exposue head unit.

Exposure head unit can use from R2-700 , or R2-1000 . R2 workstation can be upograded. Can use new computer ( desktop, or laptop ) . Ecojet ( tablet ) replenishment can be upgraded to liquid replenishment. Can be upgraded software ( to 2.03 ) nand added 12 optional modules ( they are on 2A1 menu ) .

*Hello,my machine model r2-700 has done 1 million prints. I've also used a blower and contact cleaner, but nothing has changed. Sometimes it prints, sometimes it prints 30 or more photos without a problem, sometimes not. and thank you verymuch

*I wasn't familiar with the cables PLZT and the card EXP-P-MAIN (2860H1300) et EXP-P-VD (2860H1310)

*Could this card cause this problem?

On your picture are processor boards. They can't cause this fault. I see your processor is PP-8620TB . It has liquid replenishment.

Exporsure head unit is in the printer. PLZT module makes prints on paper. This module is connected to EXP-P-MAIN BOARD ( 2860H1300 ) , EXP-P-VD BOARD ( 2860H1310 ) , EXP-P-LED BOARD ( 2860H1320 ) , TEMP-CONTROLL BOARD ( 2860H1350 ) . First three boards are inside exporsure head unit . TEMP-CONTROLL BOARD ( 2860H1350 ) is outside it.

First need to repair minilab. Only then you can think about workstation computer upgrade.

When you have lines then during print you have no any errors. Errors will be, if you using flatbed scanner ant test print with lines try to make head calibration. It is normally, because on test print can't be lines, which you have.

To have new computer you have costs, so better to do when printer works well and do not have lines. Might be you replace computer and in some time exporsure head unit make lines on all prints. You have new computer, but can't to print.  It is better to avoid it.

To upgrade need new computer with W10. Need prepare Windows for Konica software instillation. To connect scanner need new firewire ( PCI-Express - firewire card, Expresscard/34 - firewire card , or thunderbolt - firewire converter ) . Then need install Phenix, upgrade to latest version, make connection with printer and scanner and make software settiings. After that need to make scanner and printer test and can print your orders. Software is for Windows 2000 so  need to know how to install everything. I have software, drivers and know how to install everything.

Software working on W10 you can see here :

Calibration can fix only small lines, which are on your photo. It can't fix big dark and light, which are there. Problm is with hardware ( not with software ) . PLZT module is faulty, or it is controoled incorrectly.

If I understand correctly you wrote, that lines on paper are horizontal ( paper movement direcion ) . If you have them then belt can't cause these lines.
Belt can cause only lines, which on paper are vertical.

On your picture are two belts.
Longer belt has Konica part number AAAA90203052 . It is Gates Unitta 447-H1.5GT ( length 447 mm ) .
Shorter belt has Konica part number AAAA90203051 . Model can see on belt.
On Alibaba these belts offer Nanning Ida Electronic Tech Limited.

If lines on paper are vertical then usually them cause bearings ( not belt ) . Try to clean and grease bearings and adjust belt tension. If need change bearings.

Do not know which processor motors you are talking about. Processor drive has only one motor. If you on motor 2 pin connector have power supply and it doesn't rotate then motor is faulty. Need to repair it. Not working motor is typical fault on R1 and R2 minilabs. Many times had to repair these Kokusan stepper motors.
