HS1800 White spots-grain in scans

Hello guys

recently updated an s4 to standalone and getting my first scans .

i am starting to notice that quite often there is something like digital noise- white pixels in random areas in my scans.

What could be the issue?

LED light source graphs are fine

they are not visible from different scanners

The white spots look like dust to me.

Has the scanner been focused?
