cerokool86 Posted April 16 Report Posted April 16 (edited) Good afternoon, engineers. What do you think could be causing this printing issue? My photos are coming out very faded and weak, and the densitometer reading won't go above NG. I've attached before and after photos. Thank you for your time. Edited April 16 by cerokool86
Balázsovics Posted April 17 Report Posted April 17 Hey i can't open the files but you most definitely have a chemistry issue Confirm that enough developer is getting replenished Confirm that blix is not getting into the developer, one drop is enough to cause visible faults in developing It also can be that the replenished empty sensor is faulty and you ran the machine without replenisher for a long time This was most likely caused by not using the printer enough, having the machine run all day with no work kills the chemistry in the matter of weeks What you need to check: Developer, by cutting a piece of fresh paper and holding it in the developer tank for exactly 45s when the machine is warmed up completely Blix overflow to the effluent tank, Developer replenishing pump, hoses, inline filters Try and reupload the photos so that we can open them, tell us the make and model of the printer and the chemicals you're using If you confirmed that all of these are fine and the processor is working as it should, then you can try retanking the developer cerokool86 1

sinyo Posted April 17 Report Posted April 17 technician said in one day you ve to use 1/3 of developer/p1 to make it fresh. its around 500piece 4r on big machine like 3702. it depends on what chemical you use. the point is you ve to print a lot in one day
cerokool86 Posted April 17 Author Report Posted April 17 I think my post should have gone in the Border section; I made a mistake, sorry. The equipment was out of commission for a month; it was only turned on to heat the chemicals. It wasn't working due to problems with an STK integrated circuit, which have now been fixed. But now the problem is low image density; the photos are still coming out fine.

kodak_service Posted April 17 Report Posted April 17 The developer in the working tank needs to be replaced. Any developer will deteriorate if the minilab is not used for more than a month. cerokool86 1
cerokool86 Posted April 17 Author Report Posted April 17 Thank you so much, engineers. The machine is working now. What I did was add half a liter of booster, and that's it. Thank you all so much for your help. My Frontier is working with its stable color.
Balázsovics Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Retanking would have been the best option but this is a good solution too, the ph and the concentration is now probably out of speck, that just means it's now less stable We kept alive our 3202 like this for a few months but at the end that developer was not savable Try and not turn the lab off for this long, or if you have to, drain developer and blix into air tight containers, fill lab with water and when you're ready to restart fill it back up, add like 500ml of replenisher, from replenisher tank, not concentrate and should be good to go
