Omer Tunc Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 Hello everyone, Currently I have a fully working SP-3000 setup connected to a working FE system. The workflow is stable and integrated with a NAS server. We are sending jobs and doing editing from Windows 10 workstations without problems. Now I purchased: - a second SP-3000 scanner - another FE workstation/case However, the new SP-3000 and the new FE workstation are completely empty: - no operating system - no Frontier software - no drivers - no installation CDs/files My goal is: 1. Add the second SP-3000 into the existing workflow 2. Continue using only ONE FE system as the main active FE 3. Prevent sort number / order conflicts between scanners 4. Keep the second FE system as a backup FE workstation 5. In case of failure, quickly swap to the backup FE and continue production with minimal downtime Current setup: - Existing SP3000 + FE working correctly - NAS based workflow - Windows 10 workstations for editing and job transfer I would like advice about: - Which OS version is most stable for SP3000 today - Required software packages - Drivers and installation order - FE vs MS01 recommendations - How to configure dual SP3000 safely - How to avoid sort number conflicts - Best backup/cloning strategy - Whether I should clone the existing FE system or perform a clean installation If anyone has: - recovery images - installation files - driver packages - manuals - dual SP3000 experience I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you.
Minilab service Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 Software is not a problem. To have good scanning quality need scanner backup. Usually it is on floppy, but can be transferred somewhere. Without backup you will not have settings and need make scanner instillation. Need special tools. They are expensive, rare and hard to find. So better to have backup. Recovery CDs are to install Windows 2000 PRO . SP3000 can use with FDIA, FE, or MS software. FDIA : A1 ( scanner system software ) , C4/C5 ( file import - export software ) . On server - C4/C5 . On both computer can be installed optional FDIA modules. FE : on scanner S1 , on server S2 . On both computer can be installed optional FE modules. MS : on scanner MS11 for SP3000, MS01 for Windows 2000 and optional modules. On server MS01 ( on XP, W7 32 bit, W10 64 bit ) and optional modules. Servers can be installed on virtual computers. Then you can connect two scanners to one computer. Can try connect two scanners to the same server, but then scanner computer name and IP address can't be standard. Two computers on the same network can't have the same name and the same IP. I have recovery CDs and everything to install SP3000 and server ( FDIA, FE and all MS versions ) . Have all manuals and part lists. If need a help - write private message.
