I have been working on getting a SP3000 scanner to work - I had some software connection problems, but besides that, the scanner has seem to be working fine. Everything starts up and so on.
A week ago I powered it off and unplug the main power and disconnected the computer to move it and make a restore of it. Now I have the computer ready again and reconnected it in the scanner and will power it on. But nothing happens! At all. Total dead, no fans, no led lights, nothing starts 😞
I think that it must be something in the power supply there did not like to be shut down.
Anyone knows if there are some fuse or anything I can start checking?
On the back there seems to be a 8A fuse (thermal fuse I think? - but it is not popped out)

Might be computer BIOS settings were lost. Together press and hold scanner power button and computer power button. If will not start - test computer separatelly. Plug in to wall socket directly. Then try power on it.

The computer works fine. I have just had that disconnected to make reinstall. And there fore cut the main power to the scanner. After I reconnected the computer and put the power back on for the scanner, nothing happens.
The scanner powerunit is not starting up at all, none of the led lights are on. It was there I was thiniking that it could be a fuse somewhere?

Do not know why you disconnected computer. It is impossible install scanner software when computer doesn't see scanner. Check if black firewire cable is connected. It should be connected to firewire port on motherboard ( not on PCI-Firewire adapter ) .

When you press scanner power then a.c. power is supplied to computer. If BIOS settings are correct computer should start also. When computer starts then on black firewire cable is 12V and this voltage turns on relay. This relay supports a.c. voltage to computer and scanner power supply.

If computer started and works then on scanner power supply input should be 230 V a.c. Look if you have it

I think we misunderstand each other. I have no problem with the computer it works fine (i have just removed it to change harddrive and reinstall from a ghost file)
But now when I push the main power button on the scanner front, nothing happens. Nothing starts up, all the leds on the powersupply are off

What happends if you press and hold two buttons - scanner power button and computer power button? Computer starts, or not?

When scanner power supply get a.c. input all d.c. leds should be light. Power supply turns on computer ( black firewire cable ) . There from computer should be 12 V .

Nothing happens. Normal computer starts when I push the power button on the scanner. (set in bios to start automatic). If I connect the computer directly to power and bypassing the scanninger powerunit, then it works just fine.
So must the the scanner powerunit, the question is if there are a fuse somewhere I can check or it is something more seriously

First should start computer. Check if it get a.c. voltage ( about 230 V ) .
Check if you have a.c.. voltage on scanner power supply input cord. Unplug cord from power supply and look if you have it.
When scanner  power switch is pressed check if you have a.c. voltage on scanner power switch input and output ( connector PS9 , contacts 1 , 2 and 3, 4 ) .
When scanner power switch is pressed check if you have a.c. voltage on computer - PS10 contacts 1, 2 and computer power cable.

When computer gets a.c. voltage it should start automatically ( if BIOS settings are correct ) . From computer black firewire cable should get 12V. This 12V turns on relay. This relay contacts short scanner power switch contacts and scanner power button can be released.

Scanner should work untill works computer. When computer turns off on black firewire cable have no 12 V. Relay turns off and scanner turns off also.

As you see a.c. power circuit is basic. Relay is inside scanner power supply. If can't find what is wrong yourself ask any electrician to help you.

Not sure how and why, but works now... Must have been a lose cable or somthing like that.

Can you help me with another problem also?
I have tried to install a ghost version of hardrive from another setup, because I have problem with my software.
I know I need the scanner settings and configuration from my own setup in order to have it work. But at first I will just try to run on the other installation to see if I could fix my software problem with that.
But when the Fuji software loads I get some errors about circuit board settings is wrong and I only have option for maintenance and post-production run. So I can check if the software works now.
In the mainteance menu I can find the function to make a backup, but I can't find where to load a backup into the system again. Can you help me how and where I do that?

Do not understand why you loaded other scanner image file. Now your settings are wrong for your scanner. Hope you restored image on other HD and didn't format original HD. Your scanner settings are there.

Do not load settings from HD to scanner. On boards are correct settings and on HD they are incorrect. If you want to test you can do it. Data errors can ignore. Of cource on boards are not all settings. The best would be return original HD and make backup to disk "A" . Having it you are protected and easy can reinstall software and load settings.

Do not make backup when inserted incorrect HD. Settings on this HD are incorrect. Better return original HD and make backup after that. If on original HD scanner software, or Windows do not work, but HD is accessible and you didn't format it, or did not recovery then can connect HD to other computer and copy settings. They are D:\Fujifilm\Frontier\Param\ . On other computer drive letter might be different.

When have Fuji scanner, or printer  it is necessary to make backups. To do backup takes few seconds. To make scanner adjustments ned very rare and very expensive service tools. I think you will not find them in your country.

Yes still got old harddrive with the original software and settings, so no problem to restore. It was a attemt to see if I could fix the software connection problem this way. But if I understand you right I could try to take the files from my original drive in D:\Fujifilm\Frontier\Param\ and copy to same location on new drive and see if that works?

Yes, can copy folder from original HD to new. The best this method works when on both HD scanner software version is the same. The most use this method when Windows, or scanner system software do not work and customer doesn't have backup. Here only scanner settings. Software settings will not be restored.

Tne best would be insert old HD, run maintenance and make backup. Backup can do only to disk "A" . By default it is reserved for floppy. To use "A" on othrer disk on BIOS need disable floppy drive ( not floppy disc ) . On backup are all settings - scanner and software.

Scanner backup - three files. Only file Init.001 is important. 001 is archivewith settings. To make sure, that file is good can extract it with Winrar ( should be extracted without errors ) .
