Omer Tunc Posted June 4 Report Posted June 4 Hello everyone, I am troubleshooting a Fuji Frontier SP3000 scanner and would appreciate some advice. The scanner displays the following error immediately after startup: E-4471 – The diagnostics of the piezoelectric actuator failed The scanner is still operational: Film scanning works. Preview images are generated normally. Printing through the FE workstation works. However, I have another symptom: Thin blue vertical lines occasionally appear in scanned images. The lines are not fixed in position. They appear at different locations from scan to scan. The issue is visible in the scanned image itself. After the E-4471 error appeared, I also received: E-4241 – GPA circuit board failure (Slot 3) Since E-4471 appeared first, I suspect the GPA error may be secondary. Based on your experience with SP3000 scanners: Does E-4471 usually indicate a failed piezo actuator, piezo driver board, or something else? Could random blue vertical lines be caused by the piezo system, scanner signal cables, or scanner processing electronics? Which hardware component would you inspect or replace first? Have you seen this combination of symptoms on an SP3000 before? I would like to identify the most likely defective component before ordering parts. Thank you for any advice.
Minilab service Posted June 5 Report Posted June 5 E-4241 means faulty DSP on GPA23 board. If your scanner has two boards then you can remove board, which is faulty. If your scanner has only one board then need change it. On scanner should be one board and it should be working. If DSP doesn't make noise then you can continue to use faulty board. Just close error and scan images. If you have noise then it is necessary remove faulty board. When change GPA23 do not need load anything ( software, or data ) .This board is plug and play. E-4471 means faulty high-pressure drive, monitor or displacement measuring circuit of Piezoelectric Actuator 2 at startup initialization. Error can cause abnormal CPZ23 circuit board power supply, faulty CPZ23 circuit board, faulty Piezoelectric Actuator 2 , or faulty Piezoelectric Actuator 2 monitor or displacement measuring circuit ( sensor ) . Check CPZ23 power suppliers ( 5V and 12V on connector CPZ1 ) , try change CPZ23 circuit board . Check actuator 2 on CPZ23 ( connector CPZ2 ) board and on actuator ( connecor PZ202 ) . Check sensor connection ( CPZ7 , JCPS1 and CPS1 on D207 ) . After CPZ23 replacement you see error, that data on board mismatch with data on HD. Just close this error and ignore it.When just testing for you this error is not important. You shouldn't see E-4471 . If with other board you still see error E-4471 then can return old board. Both boards are good. Then problem with actuator 2, or with sensor. Actuator and sensor sold with CCD unit. Can get them, but not from Fujifilm. If after CPZ23 board replacement do not have E-4471 error then board was faulty. To leave new board on scanner need upgrade CPZ23 software and transfer data ( from HD to CPZ23 board ) . You can use scanner when have E-4471 error. Just can't scan on higher resolution. When one actuator doesn't work then can be scanned when CCD is only in 2 positions.
