hello, E-4756, E-4388. 

An error suddenly appears. What is the problem?

E-4388 means Initializing of communication for IEEE1394 failed . Can be poorly connected or broken 1394 interface cable between the image processing box and the main control unit ( it is grey ) , or GMB23 circuit board does not start up. 

To start image box is enough power supply, working GMB23, RAM modules and firewire board. You should see canner on Windows device manager.

Do not know why you see E-4756 error. When firewire connection is missing shouldn't see scanner works good, or not. E-4756 means the PLD communication error of the CCD circuit board occurred. This error can cause faulty GIA23 , missing GIA23 power supply ( 5V on small 2 pin connector ) , or faulty CCD unit ( CCD23 ) .

Might be something wrong with image box. Check power supply on it. Try reinsert RAM modules. Check image box power supply voltages. When have stable comunication between computer and image box you can search why do not have communication between image box and CCD.
