Hello everyone,

We are currently setting up a Noritsu QSS3501i Plus with NTO Connector and EZ Controller, and we are having a problem with certain print sizes.

We can successfully send print jobs when the paper advance length is 152 mm or greater. For example:

  • 102×152 mm
  • 152×203 mm
  • 203×152 mm

However, any print size with a paper advance shorter than 152 mm fails before reaching the printer. Examples:

  • 102×89 mm
  • 127×89 mm
  • 102×102 mm

At first, we thought it might be an orientation issue, but 203×152 mm prints are sent and printed correctly, so rotation/orientation does not appear to be the problem.

It seems related to the paper advance length. Any size that requires less than 152 mm of advance is rejected.

These sizes can be printed directly from the QSS3501i Plus, but they fail when submitted through NTO Connector / EZ Controller.

We are still in the process of setting up this system, so we are trying to determine whether we are missing a configuration step or if there is a restriction somewhere in EZ Controller, NTO Connector, or the print channel setup.

From the logs, we can see “BadParam” errors, but we are not sure what parameter is being rejected.

Has anyone seen this before or successfully used print sizes smaller than 152 mm in length through NTO Connector?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
