HS1800 won’t scan. Stuck on loading screen and won’t calibrate

Hi all,

our HS1800 has completely stopped scanning all film. It is nearly always stuck on the ‘One moment please’ screen. We can restart machine and sometimes will go straight to calibration it then starts calibration and then freezes without ever completing. Sometime will get stuck on the led light sensitivity auto check and then never progress.

Same is happening on both 120 carrier and 135 carrier. It knows that carrier is connected and drives the motor etc on startup, but then will not progress to the ‘insert film’ screen. Keep having to restart, but same loop continues to happen with whichever screen it loads too.

have tried cleaning carriers etc like normally always do to resolve any other issue we’ve ever had, just cannot clear this error with anything we’ve tried.

Any ideas much appreciated!

check 24v and 36v output voltages from 2 switching power supplies at the back of HS-1800 after power ON. They tend to fail with time.. Good luck!

First thing to check I suggest.

Ok thanks. We’ll try and test. Would that indicate a power failure or something else?
