Hey everyone, does anyone have tips or experience with color management for the DS2000 scanner? I’m especially looking for adjustable parameters related to color data for negative film channels. The color output with the default settings looks really off to me, so I’d love to hear your insights and workflow tricks.

First need calibrate monitor. Can do it manually ( using monitor menu and settings on Windows ) . Also can use some calibrator and create profile. Final monitor settings can do on menu 147 ( monitor master settings, settings for negative and settings for positive slides ) .

Make scanner callibration. Open flm scanner setup ( 122 ) , tick "A detailes setup is performed" and press "setup start" . Do it for all film carriers.
For UFC make "UFC film base registration" . To do it need insert blank ( empty ) processed frame.
Make zoom table setup ( 224 ) .
Make AFC set up ( 123 ) . Press "Auto gain" . Do it with 135 and 240 film carriers ( if you have 240 AFC II ) .
Make feed setting ( 211 menu )
Make light source setting ( 213 menu )
Make focus adjustment ( 222 menu ) . Can do automatically ( using under exposured frames ) , or can do it manually ( change focus value ) .
How to do all that can see on R2-700 instillation manual ( chapter 7 ) .

Parameter settings are on menu 161 . There can enable and disable software options.
Scanner color adjustments can do on menu 231 , 141 ( for negative ) , 232 , 142 ( for positive ) .
During scan you can correct color and density. Also can use advanced correction options - LUT select, Scale adjustment , Tone customaize. These options are if software version is the latest (  for DS2000E it is 2.00R03E ) and if option licenses are added on dongle ( 2A1 menu )  .
