I found a good noritsu V-50 for a better price than the V-30. I'm building a lab that would run on a low volume as low as 250-300 films for the first couple of months or till end of year maybe .....

Do you recommend getting it? Is there an easy way to make it run low volume?  And what's the waste percentage of waste I'll do compared to v-30? Knowing it's almost 3k cheaper than any v-30 I have found

All the money you save on the purchase will go down the drain because of the chemicals you use up.

The lab adds fresh chemicals to replenish the solutions based on the volume of film developed each day.

If you develop a small amount of film, you’ll have to manually top off the chemicals in the tanks.

If you make a mistake even once, the solution concentration will be too high, and all your film will be overdeveloped.

Given the amount of film you process, you’re better off looking for the T15 or V30 models.

I hope you now understand why they’re so expensive.

QSF-V30 CD tank is 7.6 L .  If to use EnviroNeg Developer Replenisher 60 AC and increased replenishment rates ( for very low throughput ) then need minimum process 10 of 135 24 frame films per week.

QSF-V50 CD tank is 18.1 L . If to use EnviroNeg Developer Replenisher 60 AC and increased replenishment rates ( for very low throughput ) then  need minimum process 40 of 135 24 frame films per week.

Here minimum, what you can process with special chemicals and increased replenishment rates. If to use standard chemicals and replenishment rates then per week need process 200  films ( on V30 ) and 400  films ( on V50 ) .

QSF-V50 and QSF-V100 are too big for our days. On smaller film processors ( QSF-T15 , QSF-T15LV , FP150SC ) can't process 120 films. That means QSF-V30 is the best choice.
