Hoping someone here has seen this before.

Setup: SP-3000 scanner, MS01, separate MS server. I access the MSSERVER Network Export share from a Mac to pull finished scans off and send to customers.

What led up to it: I was processing a medium format order and noticed old image files from a different customer, from three or four weeks back, sitting inside the new order alongside the fresh scans. Different customer name entirely. (see photo from screen attached; the images with the red box around them are photos from a different order 3-4 weeks ago with different order number, and the others are the fresh order)

I assumed it was a cache that hadn't cleared, so I went into the photos folder on the MS server and deleted the old backup image files (regular res and the low-res thumbnails). I think I also deleted the job list file in the process. Deletions were done from the Mac over the share, so they're permanent, not in the Recycle Bin.

Today: turned on the scanner and server, and MS01 cannot connect to the MS server. Can't scan anything.

Questions:

  1. Have I corrupted the FDIA database by removing the job list file, and is that recoverable without a full reinstall?
  2. Is there a way to rebuild or restore the job list, or does this need a Fuji engineer with the ghost image?
  3. For anyone running a similar setup: what's the correct way to clear old orders so this doesn't happen again? I'm guessing manual deletion of the photos folder is exactly what I shouldn't be doing.
