NIkolaii Posted August 5 Report Posted August 5 New day, new problems... Hi everyone, Since yesterday I've been getting error E-4388. After a thorough inspection, I also found a loose connector inside the scanner head labeled CTB12 (see photo). Would it be worth upgrading the scanner PC to the latest possible configuration, including an SSD? Could that potentially resolve the FireWire issue? I literally haven't changed or done anything since the error first appeared. It happened immediately after completing a scan.
Minilab service Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 CTB12 is connector where connected fans. It can't effect firewire connection. On device manager check if firewire board is installed correctly. Check if you see scanner. If do not see scanner then can be problem with firewire card, cable, or image box ( main board, or ram ) . If do not see scanner on device manager you can't install software.
matthias-rauschmayer Posted August 12 Report Posted August 12 check wether or not the 1394 Driver for scanner appears in the device manager. Go to Control panel/system/device manager. if it does not appear, reinstall A1 Driver or S1 Driver. After restart the device installation should pop up. If not, first check the connection on the EZPC to Image box. Next is to check the ATX power supply in image box and the firewire card in the image box.
