Lizbutterfly Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Please, someone help me figure out this green banding. it used to only our underexposed images but now even images that are exposed nicely it can be seen. We are not using the scanner till we figure it out. never trust Wayhu Din either. He sucks! things we tried - unplugging all cords everywhere, and plugging back in. calibration 5x in a row. deep cleaning of the light source and carrier. replaced 120 rollers ( still banding green ) Image for reference.
Minilab service Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Rollers can cause vertical lines. You have horizontal. Go into service mode and open scanner sensitivity check menu. Look at green curve there.
Lizbutterfly Posted September 11 Author Report Posted September 11 @Minilab service the gain is 6 if you can see the number is that normal? Also is anything standing out with my chart?
Minilab service Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Your G LED is weak. On 0.621 zoom gain is 6 and LED intensity value is 250 . Uniformity is not ideal, but acceptible. When scan low resolution shouldn't be visible lines. Maximal values are 7 and 255 . When inserted 135/240AFC-II film carrier select bigger zoom ( 1.31 ) . Then gain and LED intensity will be higher. Might be you reach maximal values and have bad Green curve uniformity. Bad uniformity can cause film carrier lens. You can try remove it and check uniformity without it.
