keven s Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 Hello everyone, I need help with my Noritsu QSS 3301. Magazine 1 was set for Fuji matte paper. When the Fuji paper ran out I switched to Lucky paper and it continued printing normally, but the colors looked dead and lifeless. Then I started adjusting things. I changed the emulsion number of the paper and the prints came out completely blue. After that I changed my own magazine number from 1 to 3, tried to create a new paper channel, and also tested the paper channels I already had, but everything is coming out blue now. The emulsion letter is also completely blue. I already checked the AOMs and they are normal. I no longer have Fuji paper, only Lucky paper is available. The paper registration is messed up and it keeps giving an interval error when I try to save it. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Dave S Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 (edited) Try loading the backup data from yesterday, see if it starts to print normally again on surface 1. If it does, change to surface 3 and do the Paper registration/ Setup for paper Type 2 102(3) (assuming you are using 102mm paper) and choose the profile for Lucky. If it is still printing blue it maybe the chemistry is bad. as a rough test, pull some paper out of the magazine, rewind it back in again, make some prints, check the fogged paper comes out properly black, if it has any blue in it, it will be bad CD. Dave S Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 There is no such error as "Interval error" write down the full error number, maybe then I can find the error you mean.

Hello, I loaded an older backup from February (when the machine was working normally) and the colors returned to normal on Type 1 / surface 1. However, the colors on Lucky paper still look dead/lifeless when using the Fuji channel (Type 1). When I try to set up Type 2 for Lucky paper, the prints come out completely blue again. And after that, when I switch back to Type 1, it also starts printing blue. So every time I try to register Type 2 for Lucky, it messes up Type 1 as well and everything turns blue. What should I do now? Thank you.
oliphaz Posted October 1 Report Posted October 1 What profile are you using for Lucky? It kind of sounds like you're just using the same profile for Type 2 that you used for Fuji.

If all paper specification types, print channels and paper magazines are setup properly- one don't have to "switch" anything, just load the magazine and print. In this circumstances I'd suggest you to read the manual and do paper specification registration setup with appropriate profile number for you lucky paper type.

You need to read carefully the message it displays when setting up. It shouldn't mention anything about Type 1 when setting up Type 2.

Gracias You need to load the correct profile to perform your initial setup.
