Densometer QSS37xx

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask if anyone has managed to purchase a densitometer for the Noritsu QSS 37xx series.

I haven't been able to find any suppliers or sellers offering this part. Does anyone know where I could buy one?

Or would it be necessary to purchase a completely new colorimeter instead?

I would really appreciate any help, advice, or information.

What do you need exactly - colorimeter head, or whole colorimeter unit? What is wrong that you need it?

I' am looking for a complete Noritsu colorimeter unit (measuring head) together with the calibration plate for a QSS-37xx / LP7700.

My current colorimeter is showing error 06903-00002 – Serial Communication Error.

I have tested the machine with another colorimeter, and the error disappears. This confirms that the problem is most likely with my original colorimeter.

I would like to purchase a complete replacement unit, preferably including the calibration plate.

I don't think it is necessary to to replace the whole unit - this would also be difficult to source. Replacing the colorimeter head inside will likely solve the issue. First check all wires and connections.

When exactly do you get the 06903 error? Is it when calibration is performing or at startup?

06903-00002 means serial communication error. There was a communication error between the colorimeter and processor control PCB.

Can be faulty processor control PCB, processor I/O PCB 1, processor power supply 2, colorimeter head, or bad connections.

Check connections J/P523 - J/P550 - J/P555 - colorimeter head connector

Make sure that you have processor control pcb power suppliers. There should be input voltages ( 5V and 24V ) . Also should be internal voltages created on board ( 2.5V , 3V , 3.3V , 3.6V , 5V , 12V ) .

Colorimeter head model is CS-CM1000S . You can use it from older minilabs ( 29, 30, 31, 32... ) . Head can have different letter ( P, R, S, N... ) , but they are excangable. Just need to load software and calibration data.

Noritsu doesn't sell QSS37 colorimeter head separatelly. It has no part number. From Noritsu can buy only whole QSS37 colorimeter unit. I have few working colorimeter heads. Write private message if you need it.
